Penrith Plug ‘n’ Play have booked two fantastic bands to entertain and hope to open up the stage for open mic slots through the night.
This is the first time in their ten years of live music entertainment that they’ve had a New Years Eve party and they know that with your support its going to be a great one!
Tickets are £10 and are on sale NOW from Soundbites Music in Penrith next to The Lowther Arms.
They are pre-book only due to limited space. Doors will open at 8pm on the night and the party will carry on into 2012.
They have two bands confirmed:
Stooshie have been playing folk in their own funked up inimitable style throughout the North West since 2008. They fuse traditional fiddle tunes with rock and funk guitar, bass and rythms.http://www.facebook.com/pages/Stooshie/136608483030802
Alex and the Wander-Band. A modern acoustic folk outfit based in Penrith playing a mix of old timey Americana, Gypsy Jazz, traditional Folk and Blues, all in our own Wander-Band kind of way. Featuring; guitar, trumpet, banjo, double-bass, fiddle and cajon.http://www.facebook.com/alexandthewanderband
In addition they hope to have some open mic space on the night and a light finger buffet.
Please remember there is limited to space at the venue so there are limited tickets. Once they are gone you will not get in so buy them early to avoid disappointment.
