Eden Tourism Businesses Urged To Discover Appeal Of The Adrenalin Rush

Eden tourism businesses are being invited to connect with the great outdoors to lure visitors who will linger longer and extend their spend in beautiful east Cumbria.
Nurture Eden is staging a Great Outdoors training event on February 23, which will showcase a range of activities in the great outdoor playground of Eden, which could add excitement, diversity and unforgettable memories to a stay in either the stunning valley areas or the wilder North Pennines.
The event will be staged in Gamblesby and features a range of outdoor activity specialists: Lindsay Gibson (Destination Cumbria, Lionel Playford (Pennine Painting), Ian Carter (Eden Outdoor Adventures) and Andrea Runkee (Adventure Capital).
Each will explore inspirational outdoor opportunities, from the adrenalin-fuelled to softer, leisure-focused activities, providing persuasive reasons why an accommodation provider, or visitor attraction should partner with them to enrich a visitor’s enjoyment of Eden.
To give attendees their own adrenalin rush, there will also be ‘try before you buy’ sessions in electric cycling, with Penrith Electric Cycle Centre, and in bushcraft, with Reach Beyond Adventure.
This exciting agenda will run from 11am to 4pm and costs £10 for members and £18 for non-members, including lunch and refreshments.
Booking is essential and places limited, so head to www.greeneden.org to book, or email sophie@nurturelakeland.org
