A592 biker airlifted to hospital with serious injuries

policecartrafficsidePolice are investigating a serious road traffic collision which occurred on the A592 between Windermere and Newby Bridge.

At 2:55pm on Sunday 29 September a Honda CB1000 motorcycle collided with an Audi A4 estate.

The motorcyclist, a 27-year-old man from the Windermere area was airlifted to the Royal Preston Hospital, where his condition is described as serious but stable.

The driver of the Audi was a 35-year-old man from Kendal, also in the vehicle was his 29-year-old wife who was conveyed to the Furness General Hospital suffering from whiplash.

Their 2-year-old daughter was unhurt.
