A MAN accused of sexually assaulting a female on a bus being driven through Cumbria will go on trial later this year.
Torquil Hopper, 30, faces one charge following an alleged incident on 4th April last year.
This is said to have occurred on a bus travelling northbound on the M6, between Kendal and Tebay.
During a short hearing at Carlisle Crown Court, Hopper pleaded not guilty to a sexual assault charge.
He was told by Judge Peter Davies that his trial is due to take place at the court in the week of 3rd April.
In the meantime Hopper, of Huddleston Road, Islington, London, was remanded on unconditional bail.
