[C]umbria’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Peter McCall, is holding a series of public surgeries across the county and is inviting people to go along and share their views about policing in Cumbria.
The first two surgeries will be held in Longtown, on 31 May, and Cleator Moor on 12 June (details below). Other dates and venues will be released in due course.
Meeting the public regularly to listen to their views on policing is a significant responsibility for the Commissioner and one that Mr McCall promised to fulfil during his election campaign.
Mr McCall explains “I am really keen to speak to as many people as possible across the county, as I have found it a really valuable experience in the past, and helps give me a real feel for what people are feeling and experiencing out in our communities.
“Holding surgeries such as these is just one of the ways that I plan to interact with members of the public, and I urge people to take the opportunity to come along for a chat. I really want to get out in the community to see for myself the issues and how policing can help.”
Mr McCall will be at the following locations:
Wednesday 31 May |
1 – 3pm |
Memorial Hall, Longtown |
Monday 12 June |
10 – 12 |
Pheonix Centre, Cleator Moor |
