[N]orfolk Street and St James Street have reopened following a road traffic collision.
Police were called at 8.46am today (May 31th) following a collision between a car and a cyclist, on the roundabout between Norfolk Road and St James Street.
The driver of a purple Ford Fiesta, a 56 year old woman from Carlisle, received no injuries.
The cyclist, a 36 year old male from Carlisle, was taken to Carlisle infirmary, with serious injuries.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident. Anyone with information should call Cumbria Police on 101 and ask to speak to PC Amos.
