[P]olice are appealing for witnesses following a collision on the M6 at around 6:35am this morning (1st June).
The collision occurred on the southbound carriageway just before Southwaite services, andĀ involved two cars.
The first car was a black Vauxhall Zafira driven by a 58 year old man from Carlisle. The other vehicle was a silver Mercedes Vito driven by a 29 year old man.
The driver of the Zafira was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary with minor injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call Cumbria Police on 101 and quote log number 30 of today.
