[T]his summer two local ladies will be walking 25 miles around a local beauty spot to help the care, support and activities provided at a local charity.
On Saturday 8 July Carol Sharman and Rachael Little, both Healthcare Assistants at Eden Valley Hospice, will be walking around Talkin Tarn as they complete laps for loved ones. Carol and Rachael are now encouraging the local community to join them on the day and complete a lap for a loved one.
The money raised by Carol, Rachael and all of the fundraisers joining them on the day will help Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw to provide the highest standards of care, support and activities to local adults and children with life limiting illnesses. This care and compassion is extended to all of the patients’ families, friends and carers.
Year on year it costs Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw £3.7million to provide care, support and activities to local people. Approximately 28% of the funding is received from the NHS with the remaining £2.7million raised by the kindness, support and generosity of the local community.
If you would like to join Carol and Rachael during their Laps for Loves Ones walk around Talkin Tarn all you have to do is turn up on Saturday 8 July and walk with them. Eden Valley Hospice asks that you make a £5 donation per person in support of the local charity.
