[P]art of a busy Carlisle road was closed as emergency services deal with a fire at the Ukrainian Club on Silloth Street.
Firefighters were called at 4:30pm, on Friday 14 July.
A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “Four fire engines from Carlisle East, Carlisle West, Wigton and Longtown attended the incident along with the aerial platform from Carlisle East and the command unit from Penrith.
“The crews were detained at the scene for seven hours.
“Crews, two wearing breathing apparatus, used two main jets, the aerial platform, ladders and a thermal imaging camera to bring the fire under control.”
Wigton Road from the junction of Stanhope Road to Caldewgate was closed.
