[P]olice are investigating an incident, whereby two sheep were viciously attacked by a dog on Dent Fell, Cleator Moor.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, 28th June 2017, in the late evening.
The sheep were later put down due to the injuries they sustained. Both sheep had lambs which may now struggle to survive.

Police would like to remind people to be in control of their dogs when out walking and near to livestock.
Criminal offences can be committed if a dog worries livestock, it’s the responsibility of the person or owner to control their dog.
