[C]FM is encouraging their listeners to re-visit their school days with a bank holiday party night in Carlisle this August. ‘Back To School’ will see CFM presenter Pete Moss hosting a ‘school’ themed night playing tunes from their school and college days in the late 80s, 90s and early 00s.
There will also be a live performance from old school legends Baby D who had top ten hits in the 90s with ‘Let Me Be Your Fantasy’, ‘(Everybody’s Got To Learn Sometime) I Need Your Loving’ and ‘So Pure’.
Party-goers are being encouraged to dig out their old school uniform to wear and even use the night to re-unite with old class mates.
The school theme also extends to a tuck shop being open, school dinners being served-up and even detentions issued, with treats awarded later in the evening to those who receive them.
Presenter Pete Moss says the night is for parents to become the kids for one night: “I’ve already dug out my old Trinity School tie and look forward to joining others to party like we’re teenagers again. I’ll be getting on all of the big songs that we wore out on our Walkmans back in the day. As a big fan of 90s dance, I’m particularly excited we’ve got Baby D performing too. It’s going to be a very special party!”
CFM’s ‘Back To School’ is happening during the next bank holiday weekend at Walkabout in Carlisle on Sunday 27th August. It starts at 9pm and tickets are available from Walkabout and the CFM website.
