[P]OLICE are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Preston in which a woman has sadly died.
The incident occurred on August 2nd at around 1.05pm at the junction of Ringway and Lawson Street, when a Peugeot 3008 collided with a pedestrian who has been named as Monika Brodecka, 48, from Preston.
She was taken to Royal Preston Hospital with serious head injuries, but she sadly passed away this morning (Wednesday, August 9th).
Officers would now like to speak to anybody who saw the collision and has not yet been spoken to by police.
PC Mark Potter of Preston Police, said: “A woman has sadly lost her life as a result of this collision and our thoughts remain with her family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
“We are now determined to piece together exactly what occurred and would like to speak to anybody who saw the incident and has not yet given an account to the police.
“If you know anything, please contact us as soon as possible on 101.”
