[P]enrith based Eden Runners running club have announced that they are staging, for the 3rd year, a 10k road race based at the Stoneybeck Inn near Penrith. This year’s race has once more secured sponsorship from the local Traybakes bakery. Every finisher of the 10k will receive a delicious slice of tray bake cake.
The Managing Director of Traybakes Ltd, Justine Carruthers, who has herself joined the Eden Runners Club said: “We were really delighted to support such a well organised and friendly event in Cumbria. As a keen runner myself, and a member of Eden Runners, the 10k distance is attainable and attracts a wide variety of people, making it a very popular and enjoyable event. The two Traybakes bars chosen to reward the runners on the day are; All Butter Flapjack and our brand new Granola Bar. Both are firm favourites with sporting enthusiasts from all disciplines. Happy running!”
The news of a Traybakes bar, for all runners in the race, was announced at a recent club training event at Hallin Fell.
The online race booking system launched a few weeks ago, so the race is already filling up fast. Anyone interested in entering, can do so through the Eden Runners club website or by visiting https://bookitzone.com/Stoneybeck10k/Pv2FFX. With it now becoming a regular event, runners have it in their calendar, and we are hoping that all 200 places will fill up before race day. Indeed, lots of people are already booking online.
