[A] man has been flown to hospital after going into cardiac arrest in Workington town centre.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called at 1.25pm to a man in his 50s, who was reported to be suffering a cardiac arrest.
A spokesman for GNAAS said: “The GNAAS paramedic and doctor team, working alongside a team from North West Ambulance Service, assessed and treated the patient.
“He was then airlifted to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
“The flight took 13 minutes and he arrived in a serious but stable condition.”
