[A] court has heard how police officers went into the public toilets in Wigton and found two-men acting “suspicious” in the wash area of the toilets.
When searched an amount of illegal drugs were found on one man.
In court today [Tues] was Karl George Wilson, 47 of Kirkland Fold, Wigton.
His house was searched and magistrates sitting in Carlisle were told officers found a large amount [91.56 grams] of cannabis a class B drug in the house, he pleaded guilty to a charge of possession.
The other a 43-year-old man from outside the area is due to appear in court next month to face an allegation that he was in possession of both cocaine and cannabis.
Magistrates were told Wilson as a long time medical problem due to an injury some years ago, he has severe pain in the foot and heel and he feels taking the illegal drug can ease the on-going pain, he never uses the drug outside of the house the court was told.
Wilson was fined £80 with prosecution costs of £85 and a victims surcharge of £30, the drugs was ordered to be forfeited.
