[A] FATHER and two sons who deny plotting to handle stolen goods will go on trial in the new year.
William Andrew Charles Fury, 52, appeared at Carlisle Crown Court today (MON).
Alongside him in the dock were sons William Andrew Fury, 31, and 27-year-old Joseph Fury.
Each of the three family members pleaded not guilty to a charge which alleges that they conspired together to handle stolen farm machinery or equipment on or before January 1 of this year.
The charge is said to relate to alleged illegal activity in the Carlisle area.
All three men were told their trial – which is estimated to last three to four days – was due to start at the crown court on January 22.
In the meantime, Judge Peter Hughes QC granted unconditional bail to William Andrew Charles Fury and William Andrew Fury, both of Knox Road, Wellingborough; and Joseph Fury, of Jubilee Drive, Walgrave; all Northamptonshire.
