[R]ecruitment firm, Knight Benton Recruitment Ltd, has changed its’ name to Recruit Hospitality Ltd in a bid to reinforce the specialist nature of the services they provide to Cumbrian hotels, caterers and restaurants.
The Cleator Moor based company was formed by recruitment veteran, and former CN Group Businessperson of the Year, Paul Murphy in July 2016.
The firm is expanding and recently secured the support of a multi-million-pound turnover recruitment services company to fund the expansion of their temporary staffing division.
“Things have gone really well, in our first year” explains Paul “we launched our business into one of the toughest specialist recruitment sectors in one of the most geographically challenging areas of the country and we’re winning.”
Historically hotels and restaurants in Cumbria and the Lake District have relied on agencies as far away as Preston, Liverpool and Manchester to find hospitality staff to fill their permanent and temporary roles. Recruit Hospitality provides employers and candidates with a local offering from a company that better understands the market.
Brexit and the weak pound are compounding an historic lack of skills, in the hospitality sector, especially in the Lake District. Recruit Hospitality uses their extensive network of national contacts to attract people to come and work in what Paul describes as “The 2nd most beautiful county in England” when asked “why 2nd?” he replied “well, I was born in Northumberland, hope that answers your question.”
