[T]he Lake District Calvert Trust is calling for the support of the local community to help win funding as part of the Aviva Community Fund 2017. The Trust is relying on votes to increase their chances of winning funding of up to £25,000, which they need to develop a state-of-the-art accessible bike fleet for people with disabilities. Only projects with the most votes will become finalists, so additional support is vital.
Lake District Calvert Trust has a perfect opportunity to create an accessible cycling centre, enabling the 3,500+ people with disabilities who participate in Calvert Trust courses each year to benefit from the health and wellbeing that accessible cycling is proven to provide. The Trust is particularly keen to introduce more people to accessible bikes and needs your support to make this a reality, and to introduce 2,000+ people with disabilities per year to accessible cycling.
Jennifer Scott, Fundraising Business Manager for the Lake District Calvert Trust commented: “Every single vote counts and although we are already very well supported by people across the county, we would really appreciate you taking a few minutes out of your day to give our project your votes and support our quest to access the Aviva Community Fund.”
