THE case of a pensioner accused of attempting to murder his wife in South Cumbria has come before a judge.
Peter Horbury, 80, faces one charge in relation to an alleged incident in Kirkby Lonsdale on October 26 this year.
This alleges that he attempted to murder 78-year-old Patricia Sin Lin Horbury on that date.
The case was mentioned at Carlisle Crown Court today (TUES) before the Honourable Mr Justice Turner. Horbury, of New Road, Kirkby Lonsdale, was not in court for the brief hearing.
A provisional trial date was listed for March 12, 2018, with a five-day time estimate given.
No plea has yet been entered by Horbury in relation to the allegation.
Mr Justice Turner adjourned the case until November 28, when Horbury will be asked to attend court.
