[T]wo teenagers have been seriously injured following a three-vehicle road traffic collision on the B5344 north of Drigg near Holmrook.
Police were called at approx 6:20pm on Thursday 16 November.
A blue Skoda Fabia driven by an 18-year-old local man was in collision with a silver Volkswagen Eos, driven by a 68-year-old man from Holmrook and a white Audi A6, driven by a 45-year-old local woman.
Police, fire and ambulance attended the scene, the driver of the Fabia and his passenger, a 19-year-old local man were both taken by ambulance to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle, both sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The Audi and Volkswagen drivers were taken to the West Cumberland Hospital with minor injuries.
A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 18:33 firefighters were called to a road traffic collision between three vehicles on Drigg Road, Seascale.
“Fire crews administered first aid to four casualties until the arrival of paramedics.”
The road was closed for a time following the incident for police collision investigation work and vehicle recovery.
