[D]etectives from Cumbria Constabulary’s Serious & Organised Crime Unit have charged five men over the past few days in connection with the supply of Class A drugs in north Cumbria.
Yesterday (21st November) three people were arrested following warrants conducted across the Carlisle area. They were subsequently charged with conspiracy to supply Class A dugs, those people are:
- Scott Sutherland, aged 25, of Shawk Crescent, Thursby.
- Matthew Scott, aged 24, of Lingyclose Road, Dalston.
- Jason Hill, aged 20, of Hawick Street, Carlisle.
All three are scheduled to appear before North Cumbria Magistrates’ Court today (22nd November).
The warrants follow a seizure of cocaine, worth £210,000, on Saturday 18th November. Two were charged and subsequently remanded at court for possession with intent to supply cocaine, they are:
- Alan Hudson Williams, aged 69, of Derwent Street, Carlisle.
- Matthew Payne, aged 44, of Stanhope Road, Carlisle.
