Two fire engines from Carlisle West and Longtown fire stations attended an articulated lorry fire on the M6 between J44 and J45.
Fire crews were called at 7:13am today, Wednesday 15 May.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Firefighters used one hosereel jet and compressed air foam to extinguish the fire.
“Firefighters were on scene for approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes.”
