Penrith celebrates May Day 2012
Today, Monday 7 May saw the Lions Club of Penrith host its 32nd May Day Carnival in the town. The good folk of Penrith braved a day of chilly weather to be entertained and enthralled by the various shows, dancers and street artists. The rain held off for most of the day but things turned a little damp as the traditional carnival parade went through the town centre.
