Boy, 14, grabbed by man on Carlisle street

Police are investigating after a 14-year-old boy was assaulted by a man on Warwick Road in Carlisle.

The incident occurred on the bridge just prior to the Premier Inn between 4:20pm and 4:30pm on Thursday 9 October.

The boy was cycling along Warwick Road in the direction of Tesco when a man grabbed hold of the boy’s jacket. The boy was not hurt and managed to get away.

The man is described as white, approx 40-years, stocky build, approx 6ft tall, bald on top with short shaven dark hair on the back and sides, he had a white goatee style beard and a local accent, he is further described as wearing a blue fleece.
