Workington man admits burglaries

A BURGLAR has appeared before a judge and pleaded guilty to committing three crimes in Workington.

David Austin Turner, 33, was charged following incidents on 27th July last year.

At Carlisle Crown Court today (WED), Turner admitted two charges of burglary with intent to steal. He accepted entering both a building at a recycling centre in Workington, and also a garage at Moss Bay Road in the town.

Turner also admitted attempting to burgle a non-dwelling at Moss Bay Road.

His case was adjourned by Judge Peter Davies, who asked for more information before passing sentence.

Turner, of Station Road, Workington, is due to return to the crown court and learn his fate on 21st April.

In the meantime he was remanded in custody.
