Man arrested after spate of car break-ins in Maryport

Police have arrested a 26-year-old Maryport man on suspicion of theft and attempted theft from a motor vehicle.

The male, who was arrested yesterday, is being questioned by police for four offences that took place over the weekend (commencing April 22nd) in Maryport.

Police are appealing for any further victims to come forward. Officers would like to hear from anyone in the area who had their car broken into, even if nothing was stolen.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Cumbria Police on 101 and ask to speak to PC 1447 Irving, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
