Police name RAF students killed in North Yorkshire light aircraft crash

[P]olice have named the two men who sadly died in the aircraft crash in Ryedale, on Saturday 30 April 2016.

Both men were student pilots in the RAF.

North Yorkshire Police received a number of calls from members of the public at around 10.40am on the morning of Saturday 30 April 2016.

The aircraft crashed in fields between Castle Howard and the A64.

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: “The two men who died were 21-year-old Cameron James Forster from Sussex, and 25-year-old Ajvir Singh Sandhu from Essex.

“The Air Accident Investigation Branch have been informed.”
