Egremont man admits child sex crimes

A JUDGE has warned a man who committed two child sex crimes that he could be given a prison sentence.

Michael Reid, 26, entered guilty pleas to two charges when he appeared at Carlisle Crown Court.

He admitted causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and meeting a child following sexual grooming.

Reid’s offences were both committed on 19th August last year.

His case was adjourned by Judge Peter Davies for the preparation of background information.

Reid, of Croadalla Avenue, Egremont, is due to be sentenced on 17th June.

He was warned by Judge Davies that all options, including custody, would be open.

And he was told that he was now subject to the sex offender notification requirements.
