Derwent Water Photo Tops National Competition

[A] Cumbria photo taken at Derwent Water has reached the final of a national “home is where the heart is” themed photography competition.

The public we’re asked to send in a photo of a special place outdoors and write provide a 100 words as to why they choose the particular location.

Alf Bailey who entered the photo into the competition said: “We have spent so many happy hours enjoying the peace and tranquillity of this location. The early hours are a real delight to the senses and it’s just minutes from Keswick’s busy little town centre.”

The three winners will be announced on the W/C 16th of May and you can see other finalist photos here:
