Barrow man charged with GBH following assault

[A] Barrow man has been charged in connection with an assault which left a man with serious injuries.

Simon Ashworth, aged 27, of no fixed abode, has been charged with Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent.

This relates to an incident that occurred at approximately 11.30pm on Wednesday 11th May 2016 on Schooner Street.

He will next appear before Furness & District Magistrates Court on Saturday 14th May 2016.
