Electrical fault causing problems with Allerdale’s telecommunications

[A]llerdale Borough Council is currently experiencing problems with its main telephone system meaning customers may have problems contacting the council. This was caused by an electrical fault earlier this morning

Customers are advised to use our email address [email protected] to make any enquiries and these will be dealt with by our customer service team. If customers need to speak to someone, and are having trouble getting through they can ring 01900 837 210.

Customers are also advised to visit the Council’s website at for more information on services, to report issues like a missed bin and to make payments. Council payments can also be made free of charge at any shop or business displaying the Paypoint logo, at Post Offices and at Credit Unions across the area. Council offices in Workington, Cockermouth, Keswick, Maryport and Wigton are also open as usual.

Allerdale Borough Council would like to apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused during this time.
