[A] CRIMINAL found in possession of thousands of pounds worth of heroin has been locked up for almost six years.
Nicholas Eric Trevor, 39, was arrested by police in Carlisle during the early hours of 15th April.
He was seen to discard two packages of heroin in the street, and a further bag was found during a search of his home in the city.
Trevor was arrested and went on to admit two counts of possessing heroin with intent to supply. He also pleaded guilty to the possession of another class A drug – crack cocaine.
He was sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court. Recorder Mark Ainsworth imposed a prison term of five years and eight months having heard Trevor, of Edward Street, Carlisle, had chalked up a third heroin supply conviction.
The court was told the estimated street value of the drugs seized from him was around £4,150.
