Cumbria schools prepare for 2016 Be Your Best Rock Challenge® Northern Finals

[C]umbria will be represented across two of the Northern Finals as three local schools compete against the top teams from across the North of the UK at Grimsby Auditorium.

On Friday 1st July St Benedict’s Catholic High School will take to the stage in contention for the title of 2016 Rock Challenge® Northern Open Champions. They face teams from East Riding of Yorkshire, Hull, West Yorkshire, County Antrim, Lincolnshire, North Yorkshire, North East Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire.

On Saturday 2nd July West Lakes Academy, The Whitehaven Academy and schools from Aberdeenshire, North East Lincolnshire, East Riding of Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, West Yorkshire and Angus will be attempting to steal Thornton Grammar School’s title of Northern Premier Champions.

The teams have spent the last few weeks finalising their performances since their regional heat and will spend the day at the venue rehearsing, watching and supporting all the other schools before competing in a spectacular evening show.

Both the Open and Premier Final will commence at 1900 to an audience of family, friends, sponsors and VIPs.

Last year the Northern finals attracted over 2410 audience members with tickets for 2016 still available to purchase through Grimsby Auditorium Box Office on 0844 871 3016.
