Firefighters tackle Carlisle blaze

carlisle fire2At 1:34am today, Monday 20 June firefighters were called to a building on fire on the junction of Tyne Street and London Road in Carlisle.

The fire involved two vehicles, one transit van and a private car.

carlisle fireA spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “The adjacent building was also affected and firefighters gained entry to the building where the fire had reached and used two hose reels to extinguish it.”
