Firefighters tackle Carlisle bedroom blaze

[A]t 5:19pm yesterday, Monday 20 June firefighters were called to a report of a building fire on Denton Street, Carlisle.

On arrival, crews found a fire involving a first floor bedroom of a mid terraced house.

A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

“Crews also used a positive pressure ventilation fan to disperse the smoke.

“Crews were on scene for one hour and 10 minutes.”
