Whitehaven pizza shop burglar sent to prison

[A] BURGLAR who stole money from a Whitehaven town centre pizza shop has been sent to prison.

Carlo Bone, 31, was sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court today (MON) having admitted that he broke in to Mrs Pizza, at Duke Street, on 3rd April.

He was given an eight-month term by Judge Peter Davies, who heard the criminal had a raft of previous burglary offences on his record.

Bone, of South View Road, Whitehaven, initially denied the crime.

But he was linked to the scene by fingerprints found on the till and by CCTV footage which, when later viewed, showed him inside the premises.
