Biker hurt in Barrow crash

[T]he Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Barrow-in-Furness at 6.30pm yesterday after a collision involving a motorcyclist and a car.

The 36-year-old male motorcyclist, from Barrow, had been thrown around 25ft away from his bike and suffered serious lower leg injuries.

The GNAAS doctor and paramedic team stabilised the patient at the scene before he was flown to Royal Preston Hospital in a stable condition within 15 minutes.
