Teenage biker seriously injured in Morecambe crash

7177A biker has been flown to hospital after suffering serious injuries after his motorcycle collided with a car in Morecambe.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the incident at 4:40pm today, Sunday 24 July.

The helicopter landed at the local golf course and the Doctor and Paramedic crew made their way to the incident on foot.

A spokesman for GNAAS said: “Once on scene, along with NWAS Paramedics they assessed and treated a young male for multiple injuries.

“The patient was transported to the waiting helicopter by a road ambulance and then flown to the Alderhay children’s hospital in Liverpool.”

His condition is described as serious but stable.
