Police probe Kendal attack

[P]olice can confirm that they are investigating a report of an assault in Kendal on Saturday evening (July 23rd).

It is believed that a knife may have been brandished during the assault, which reportedly took place at around 9pm.

Officers were deployed to Kendal yesterday afternoon / evening (July 24th) to carry out enquiries in connection with the incident. Officers were carrying Tasers as a precaution, but there was no perceived threat to the wider public.

No arrests have been made as yet but police enquires are continuing.
