Personal Licence Holders Course in Penrith – 15th August

Print[H]IT Training Ltd are holding a personal licence course in Penrith on the 15th of August 2016.

Venue: HIT Training Ltd, Unit 4b, Redhills Business Park, Penrith, Cumbria, CA11 0DT

Times: 9.30am – 4.30pm

Lunch & refreshments will be provided.

This 1 day course has the following learning objectives:

Understand the role of licensing authorities and responsibilities of the personal license holder.

Gain knowledge of police powers and rights of entry.

Understand the issues associated with the responsible retail of alcohol, including protection of children from harm.

Anyone who authorises the sale of alcohol to the public (as per the legal requirement in England and Wales) is required to have a suitable qualification.

On completion of this course, candidates will hold a licensing qualification with which they can apply for the Personal Licence.

The comprehensive course includes an overview of the licensing authorities, the responsibilities of the license holder, police powers with regard to suspension and closure of licensed premises, rights of entry and specific prohibitions for the sale of alcohol. It also looks at strengths of alcoholic drinks, the effects of alcohol on the human body and the protection of children from harm.

The overall objective of the course is to ensure the responsible retail sale of alcohol.
