[N]ew data released by the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) has revealed that Kendal College is one of the top performing colleges in the country for student satisfaction rates.
The SFA’s publication of their annual National Student Satisfaction Survey places Kendal College second from the top of the table with an impressive 93.5 per cent overall satisfaction score. Not only is this the best in Northern England, it is also a great improvement on last year’s score of 86 per cent.
The survey is managed externally and a sample of students from every College in the country are questioned to gauge their feelings on their learning establishment, courses and tutors. More than 500 students attending Kendal College replied to the survey with an overwhelmingly positive response.
Maggie Cawthorn, Director of Curriculum at Kendal College, said: “This is an outstanding achievement for the College and we’re obviously delighted with these fantastic results. There is nothing better as a tutor than when you feel that your students really appreciate what you are doing, so we’re all feeling very proud right now.”
“We’re always striving to get the best out of our students and it’s so rewarding to see that everyone’s hard work is understood and valued. Last year, we were 16th in the country so to have jumped 14 places in such a short time is a great accolade and reflects our ongoing commitment to investment, development and top quality learning.”
Kendal College was also the only college in Cumbria and North Lancashire to make it into the top 20 on the list of more than 200 colleges. The college that claimed the overall top spot was Richmond Adult Community College in Surrey with a 94.8 per cent satisfaction rating.
