Biker hurt in Kaber crash

[A] motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital after a collision with a car yesterday.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the incident near Kaber at 11am.

A spokesman for GNAAS said: “The 72-year-old man had sustained arm and leg injuries and was flown to James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, in a flight which took 20 minutes.

“The patient arrived in a stable condition.”
