Man hurt in A591 crash

Keswick rtc gnaas[T]he Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to a crash involving one car on the A591 south of Keswick yesterday.

The aircraft was scrambled at 4.10pm.

A spokesman for GNAAS said: “The GNAAS doctor-led trauma team worked alongside North West Ambulance Service, police, fire and rescue and the Coastguard, to free the 60-year-old from his car and treat his injuries, which after assessment, were found to be non-life-threatening.

“The Coastguard helicopter then flew him to hospital.”
