Air ambulance called to Penrith man

gnaas scawsAt 6pm today, Saturday 27 August the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to a man who had collapsed on Scaws in Penrith.

A spokesman for the GNAAS said: “Upon landing on scene the doctor led team were assisted by a member of the public to get to the location of the casualty.

“The crew were met on scene by a community first responder.

“The patient, a man in his 40s was assessed and treated before being transferred to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle by land ambulance.”

His condition is described as comfortable.
