Man hurt in M6 crash

m6 crashA man has been hurt in a road traffic collision on the M6 northbound between junction 39 and junction 40.

The collision involved a van and a trailer.

The Pride of Cumbria air ambulance was called to attend the collision at 2:30pm today, Saturday 27 August.

m6 crash2Three patients were assessed and treat on scene before one, a man aged in his 30s was transported by land ambulance to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle with minor neck injuries.

The M6 northbound was closed between J39 and J40 but has now reopened.
