Optimising Connectivity in Grasmere

Cumbria County Council is inviting the local community to a drop-in event regarding the commencement of the Optimising Connectivity project at Town End, Grasmere.

The works, due to commence mid-September 2016, are part of the Optimising Connectivity programme, to improve connectivity for visitors arriving at key Lake District locations. The project at Town End Grasmere will enhance the linkage between the village of Grasmere and Dove Cottage.

Cumbria County Council, the Lake District National Park Authority and South Lakeland District Council are working in partnership to develop these improvements at key visitor locations in the South and Central Lake District.

The Optimising Connectivity project is being delivered by Cumbria County Council and funded through the Cumbria Local Economic Partnership.

The council is hosting a drop-in event to discuss the project and answer any questions from the public between 3pm and 7pm on Tuesday 6 September 2016 at the Wordsworth Trust, Foyle Room, Dove Cottage, Grasmere, Cumbria, LA22 9SH.
