North Cumbria farmer hurt in quad bike accident

[A] MAN was injured after falling from a quad bike near Carlisle.

The 54-year-old, believed to be a local farmer, had sustained facial and rib injuries in the incident at Cumwhitton today.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the scene at around 11:15am.

A spokesman for GNAAS said: “The GNAAS doctor-led trauma team assessed and treated the man before he was taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service.”
