Teenagers arrested after man hurt in Carlisle

[C]umbria Police are investigating a report of a serious assault which occurred on Mardale Road, Carlisle around 6am this morning, Saturday 1st October.

A 21-year-old man, from Carlisle, was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are not life threatening.

A women, aged 19 and a girl, aged 17, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

Anyone who has any information about this incident is asked to call Cumbria Police on 101 and ask to speak to Carlisle CID, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
