Gaudium introduces new innovative software for care staff

20161005_143419[G]audium Ltd, the privately run care services company based in Corney Square, Penrith continues to find even more ways to improve their service. The company provides day care and home support services to vulnerable adults in the Penrith area.

Although a couple of years ago they took the innovative step to change to an electronic database to improve security and efficiency for client and staff records they have now decided to improve once again with a brand new software system.

“We have found the software system to greatly improve the efficiency of our company and the safety of our clients records” said Mariusz Waluk director of Gaudium, “however after using this for some time now, we have found areas to improve upon to better serve our clients’ needs.”

Another advantage of the brand new system is that each member of staff will be provided with one of the newest mobile handsets currently on the market and will have the new system installed and ready to go. This means they will be able to access the relevant client information anywhere with ease.

“We are aware that the care sector can be a stressful environment to work in, and part of bringing this system in was to ensure any extra workload is taken off our care staff as their happiness is paramount,” added Mariusz.

Any information added onto the new system where a signal is unavailable will save immediately and update as soon as the phone is back within range of a data or Wi-Fi connection, this in turn is a great advantage in somewhere as rural as Cumbria.

Carers lives will be made a lot easier when on the road with call times and mileage records calculated automatically. Within the new system is a built in tracker in order to keep the carers which are out on call safe, as lone worker safety is an issue to all domiciliary workers. It also ensures accountability on calls, which comforts family members.

“When one of our carers is out on a call, this new system will mean that they have more time to spend with the clients, and when back home they don’t have timesheets or mileage to do. They can spend more time caring and more time resting – that is what this new system is all about.”
