Girl, 11, seriously injured in Barrow collision

[F]riars Lane in Barrow in Furness is currently closed due to a road traffic collision.

Police were called at 3:30pm today, Wednesday 12th October, following a collision between a car and an 11-year-old girl.

The girl has been taken to Alderhey Children’s hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries.

The driver of the car did not sustain any injuries.

Emergency services are currently in attendance and motorists are asked to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
